Nairobi, 15 March 2017—UN-Habitat recentlylaunched a new Project under its Cities and Climate Change Initiative (CCCI) on ‘pro-poor planning for climate resilience in marginalized neighbourhoods’. The Project’s first activities took place in partnering cities and communities in Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Fiji, Jamaica, and the Solomon Islands. The Project aims at strengthening capacities of communities and local governments to address the climate challenge through building climate resilience in informal settlement contexts.
